Project Title: Wireless Mini Router

Client: Shenzhen

Project Content: PCB Clone, PCB Schematic, PCB Modification

Project Highlights: PCB shape modified according to customer requirements

Initially, the client inquired about a router that needed PCB modification. Upon visiting our company, they discovered it was a mini wireless router, known as a "mini router." The router was compact and powered by USB, with a transmission range covering approximately 80 meters. Specific parameters included:

  • Compliant with IEEE 802.11 b/g standards
  • Compatible with IEEE 802.3u protocol
  • Supports IEEE 802.3x flow control protocol
  • Compatible with IEEE 802.11 series protocols
  • Supports IEEE 64/128-bit WEP data encryption
  • Supports USB 1.1, USB 2.0 devices
  • Supports USB generic commands, class commands, and custom commands
  • Supports USB suspend mode for low power consumption
  • Can be powered via power adapter or USB port
  • Wireless transmission rate up to 54Mbps
  • Provides software and browser remote settings (channel modification, etc.)
  • Supports wireless roaming technology for efficient wireless connections
  • One-key switch between wireless AP and wireless adapter, supporting soft AP functionality
  • Compatible with Windows 2000/XP/XP64/Vista/Vista64/7 operating systems

The client's request was simple - they provided a new set of molds and required us to modify the PCB according to the mold dimensions. They would handle bulk production themselves. The project's difficulty lay in the router's high wiring demands and soldering requirements. During PCB production and debugging, we found that the functionality was incomplete and the signal was unstable. Our engineers systematically investigated the issue and identified interference in the wiring as the cause. A redesign was initiated, and after another round of sampling, the results were excellent.

For high-frequency and wireless transmission products like this, multiple sampling iterations are common due to the high level of difficulty. It's crucial for clients with such products to exercise caution when choosing a modification partner. Opting for lower-priced but unqualified companies often leads to time and monetary losses. Shenzhen Dongdao Technology is a reputable company with strong technical capabilities in PCB cloning, PCB modification, and chip decryption. Our reputation is built on client satisfaction, and our expertise is well recognized in the industry.
