Scope: Chip Decryption, PCB Cloning, BOM Generation, Prototype Assembly, and Debugging

The principle of the GPS car anti-theft tracker is straightforward; it is a GPS locator that requires the assistance of a third-party mobile service provider since it contains a SIM card, typically from either China Mobile or China Unicom. Essentially, it functions as a tracking device. However, many online advertisements tend to exaggerate its capabilities.

When the customer came to us with their product, we presented our developed wireless transmission module to them. After inspecting it, they were pleasantly surprised to find it was nearly identical to their requirements, proving that we could help them develop this product. Nonetheless, there were some differences between the two products, but both served security purposes. To ensure the accuracy of the final product, we chose to conduct a reverse engineering study, starting from chip decryption, rather than basing it solely on our previous products.

Chip decryption is one of Dongdao Technology's areas of expertise. Once the chip was successfully decrypted, the rest of the process became much smoother. However, there were some issues with the computer application platform later on because the customer provided a product with a login interface, which is specific to each company. We could have helped the customer develop it, but they managed to obtain the entire software from a friend. In the end, the whole product was successfully developed for the customer, and they were highly satisfied. We were delighted to hear that the customer made a considerable profit from the product and genuinely happy for their success.
