Wireless remote control program

Remote controls are everywhere in today's wireless society, from household appliances like televisions, air conditioners, computers, and stereos, most of them are now controlled wirelessly.

Currently, there are several remote control solution providers in the market. Below are some typical remote control chips, manufacturers, and their features for reference and learning:

  1. Taiwan's Shengke chip A7105 has the following specific features: A. 2.4G global ISM frequency band or other (315433868*915) operating frequencies. B. Operating voltage from 2.0V to 5.5V (customizable). C. Transmit power can be customized from 0dB to 20dB. D. Transmission distance can be customized from 20 meters to 500 meters. E. Debugging methods include GFSK and FSK, with 80 working channels. F. Available in different design versions from 1Key to 100Key, and can provide a capacitive touch button version (customizable). G. A single MCU chip can simultaneously integrate infrared remote control, infrared remote control coding learning, and other functions (customizable). H. Can achieve different transmission modes like unidirectional and bidirectional. I. Supports various communication methods such as code learning, fixed frequency, automatic hopping, and interference hopping. J. Can change PCB design according to different product structures. K. Fully supports customization according to customer-specific requirements.

  2. Another commonly used chip is Si4010, which includes an embedded 8051-compatible microcontroller (MCU) with 4 kB of RAM, 8 kB of one-time programmable (OTP) non-volatile memory, a 128-bit EEPROM, and a 12 kB ROM for library functions. These ROM-based functions allow developers to easily implement complex features, such as using verified code to add secure encryption features in the remote control to reduce risks and development time. The digital peripheral functions on this microcontroller include touch wakeup GPIO, a patented technology 20-bit EEPROM with 1 million read/write cycles, an LED driver, sleep timer, a debugger, and a high-speed 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) accelerator that provides secure one-way links.

The Si4010 chip has relatively high costs and is less commonly used.

When choosing a remote control solution provider, it is essential to consider the price and service, compare the overall cost of PCBA, and the level of after-sales service.
